Intracon is heading to Eurosatory 2026, the world’s leading defence and security exhibition, and we’re bringing something you need to feel to believe. From June 15–19, visit us at Hall 4, C101 in Paris to experience the Immersive Recoil Solution (IRS) — immersive VR weapons training with real physical recoil feedback, built for fast deployment and mission-specific scenarios. 

What is the IRS?

The IRS combines VR-based simulation with physical recoil feedback to deliver realistic, repeatable, and mission-specific weapon training — entirely without live ammunition.

At its core is a 3D-printed weapon replica engineered to match the exact weight of its real-world counterpart, giving trainees an authentic handling experience from day one. The system is cable-free, requires no dedicated training room, and can be deployed in minutes wherever training is needed.

Training scenarios include:

• Indoor, outdoor and shooting range simulations
• Counter-drone, night and thermal scenarios
• Smoke, low-visibility and ambush training
• Custom operational environments

The IRS also supports multi-user scenario training — allowing multiple users to train simultaneously in the same environment to improve coordination, communication, and tactical response.

Every session can be evaluated after the fact with post-training analysis, giving instructors the ability to review performance, decisions and areas for improvement.

The IRS is designed for military, law enforcement, special forces, training centers, and simulation hubs.

Why Now?

Live fire training is expensive, logistically complex, and carries inherent risk for trainees and instructors alike. The IRS eliminates those barriers entirely — no ammunition, no dedicated range, no complex setup.

But removing live fire doesn’t mean removing realism. The IRS is built around the principle that effective training requires physical feedback, not just visual simulation. When a trainee feels the recoil, handles a weapon that matches the real thing in weight, and operates in a scenario built around their specific mission environment — that’s training that transfers.

The cost benefits are significant too. By dramatically reducing ammunition consumption and eliminating the infrastructure requirements of a traditional range, organisations can run more training, more often, at a fraction of the cost — and repeat scenarios as many times as needed without additional expense.
